Consider the 10,000 performers no stage has heard yet

Roscosmedia runs talent hunts as software — and finds the voices that never reach a metro studio.

An audition tape on a phone is still an audition.

Most of India’s performing talent never reaches a stage. Not for lack of ability — for lack of a door.

Talent hunts have always been shaped by geography. A studio in a metro can only audition the people who can afford to reach it, and the shortlist starts narrowing long before anyone sings or speaks. Roscosmedia runs the hunt the other way around: entry from a phone in any district, judging that is structured and visible, and a record of every performance that comes through. The result is a wider field to choose from and a fairer read on who is actually good.

The format

Bihar Star Hunt goes district by district looking for singers, dancers, content makers and influencers. Entry is a phone recording. From there, rounds are scored by mentors and by audience voting inside the app, and the field narrows in public — every contestant can see exactly where they stand and why.

A stage that starts in your own village, not in a metro studio.

The format

Star Pravakta is a gamified national hunt for spokespersons — people who can hold a position, argue it cleanly and carry a room. Contestants move through levelled debate challenges, draw topics at random, and earn points that stay on a public leaderboard. What comes out the other side is a shortlist of upcoming voices, ready for panels, campaigns and screens.

The best argument in the country belongs to someone nobody has booked yet.

IndustryBeyond our own shows

Where technology meets entertainment.

The systems we built to run our own hunts — entry, scoring, voting, scheduling, rights — are infrastructure the whole industry needs. We are opening them up.

Production houses still run auditions on spreadsheets and group chats. Channels still count votes by hand. Casting directors still lose the tape they liked six months ago. Roscosmedia treats all of it as one product problem: a searchable talent record, a judging engine anyone can configure, and a live audience layer that works on the phones India actually uses. We operate it for our shows first, so nothing ships to a partner untested.

Talent infrastructure

Every audition, score and clip kept as a record producers and casting teams can search later.

02

Formats as products

A show format, its rules and its gamified layer packaged so another market can license and run it.

03

An ecosystem, not a silo

Mentors, brands, broadcasters and regional studios working off the same platform and the same numbers.

talent hunt
as software.

At Roscosmedia, a show is a product — registration, judging, voting, scheduling and broadcast all run on one system we build and operate ourselves.

+

Entry from anywhere

A phone, a recording and a district. Registration takes minutes and works on the connections people actually have.

+

Structured judging

Mentors score against the same rubric round after round, so results can be explained rather than defended.

+

Gamified progression

Levels, streaks, points and leaderboards keep contestants and audiences returning between episodes.

+

Measurable for partners

Reach, engagement and regional breakdowns come out of the platform itself, not out of an estimate.

Roscosmedia is an Indian talent discovery company that runs talent hunts as software. Its shows find singers, dancers, creators and speakers across the country, including the voices that never reach a metro studio.

It produces two formats — Bihar Star Hunt and Star Pravakta — and runs registration, judging, audience voting, scheduling and broadcast for both on one platform it builds and operates itself. The company works out of Patna and New Delhi.

Bihar Star Hunt is a district-by-district talent hunt for singers, dancers, content makers and influencers. Across its first two seasons it has drawn 10,000 registrations and reached 50 Lok Sabha constituencies through its audition rounds.

Season 02 is live now, and every contestant can see exactly where they stand in the competition and why.

You register from your phone by uploading a performance — or, for Star Pravakta, a two-minute argument. There is no entry fee and no travel: auditions start wherever you are, not in a metro studio.

Join the Roscosmedia talent network at the bottom of this page to hear which show is opening and when registration opens near you.

Star Pravakta is a gamified national hunt for spokespersons — people who can hold a position, argue it cleanly and carry a room. Contestants move through levelled debate challenges, draw topics at random and earn points that stay on a public leaderboard.

It has covered two states so far, with the next four in production. The show ends with a shortlist of upcoming voices ready for panels, campaigns and screens.

Mentors score every performance against the same rubric round after round, so results can be explained rather than defended. Audience voting runs alongside the scores inside the app during district rounds.

Every contestant moves through five levels. After registering, you compete in a district round scored by mentors with audience voting open in the app. You then level up through challenges, random topics and streaks.

Finalists train with performers, journalists and campaign professionals. The finals are produced and broadcast — and the winners keep the platform.
